Word Up - Cameo or Gun version?

Well? 

I first heard the powerful Gun version first but think I prefer the original!
Just so funky!
And from what I've seen, Cameo performed it better live. I must check out other Cameo tracks!

    No, I play guitar in another couple of bands and we've played this one before doing a rock/funk version. I'm on bass with Cairo East.

    Does this actually go down well in covers band sets these days?

    I used to play it in a former band when the Gun cover was fresh......but I would have thought it's a bit passed it's sell by date now, am I wrong?

    Think Gun lost too much of the funk & bass, prefer Korn of the covers, but Cameo version is best.

    Though listen to Korn & Gun to get simple rock arrangements if you haven't got a keybaord and sampling wizard for the Ennio Morricone references.
