Nice clip but not really my cup of tea.

I think the best of this Generation is Guthrie Govan, but that's just my opinion. We all have different criteria so there can be no best really.

Nice playing. Really nice, thanks for posting. IMHO once a player goes beyond a certain standard, there's not much point agonising over who's the "best" just enjoy and, if relevant, learn.

Guthrie Govan is not the same generation as Julian, though. He's 44, Julian is 28. Enough of a gap there.

Speaking of Julian, he's released an album of "solid body" guitar music. If you thought he could only play piano jazz on the archtop, you're wrong.

I love his tone on his latest album, guitar - Flint Strymon and a tweed 53 Fender Super.  Live it's just guitar into a 58 Tweed Champ turned up loud.

I wrote a horrible review of this, as I have been to pub, had a few beers, and had to listen to some asshole who said all cover band musicians should be shot. 
But let's be honest surely someone is dong something new on guitar, or did it all stop in 70's with EVH?

That was great, I really enjoyed that. 

Aside from being a fantastic guitarist, JL really knows his guitars as well.
