There's a split along the length of the neck from about the first fret to the D machinehead, roughly in line with the truss rod (which is probably why it split there). It's visible at 2'18" if you don't want to waste another three minutes of your life watching the whole thing.

Difficult to repair, too. It would be hard to get glue into it properly.

I once did exactly that - it hit a wall and nearly snapped the head off -  lucky you could hardly tell after the repair -  I bought some straplocks immediately lol
