  • Oh and an honourable mention to the new Scooby Do shows. Very funny, big nod to Austin Powers in them

    What side's Ben & Holly on? I find it hard to navigate away from ceebeebies without a chorus of screaming.

    We do watch Yellow Submarine about 3 times a week though.

  • Not having children I don't have much knowledge of modern nipper-vision but I have seen the new Fireman Sam and it's offensive. Same for CGI Captain Scarlet (mind you the original Captain Scarlet hasn't held up as well as Thunderbirds- he's the ultimate deus ex machina!). Apparently they're doing new CGI Thunderbirds as well. Not sure why they dont' just rerun the proper ones again :(

    Remakes, generally, tend to spoil. Right now we're watching original Tom & Jerry, far better than the more recent runs of it.

    Obviously we have to spend time with 'em watching stuff on the big picture thing in the corner of the room. Thus, my personal preference of stuff on the telly is as follows;

    ii) Shaun The Sheep, he's fucking unhinged

    LOL I l love this comment, I must run it by catchup!

    My kids liked; "Rosie and Jim."

    Recovery Show, Ben 10, basically anything he likes or dosent like just as long as its one of HIS pwogwammes and hes got charge of the telly. We put up with this for so long and then he gets the netbook or dvd player for company. Loves Spiderman,Fireman sam, Toy story 1 and 2 but not 3. Hes 2.5 going on 55 I call him rainman, nothing down for me when he learns the art of snitching which can only be days away.

    It used to be about a feeble but kindly postman who often used to gaze into the middle distance to the sound of a gurgling brook in the background; now he's swinging off the rail of a helicopter and landing on a roof to prevent some assassination or whatever, all to the sound of nu-metal. It's definitely been notched up a gear.
