Okay, its not me. However, she plays an Eternal semi strat and I played one of them once and thought it was possibly the nicest guitar I have ever played.

Where have you been? She's on Adrian Clark's Jam Track website ... you obviously spend too much time in the boiler room of the vent my spleen section and not enough time in the sunny uplands of the guitar section .. ;-)

I think they are basically bitsas - IIRC made from US Allparts neck and bodies. They were at the Birmingham guitar show a couple of years ago. That semi/ thinline strat was really light and yet perfectly balanced and just had that certain spark. It was either very similar or was the guitar Jess plays.

some people are just this gifted, and I hate it when people think anyone can get this good but just "didn't try hard enough" - she had the innate ability and worked incredibly hard too, best of luck to her - musical gifts are harder to capitalise on than other talents, as we are probably all aware

Mate, she's even better playing live. When I saw her, she was having all sorts of trouble with her backing track (the computer kept just pausing) - she took it all in stride and just went with it while she was playing. When she covered Wonderful Slippery Thing, Guthrie was overheard saying to Alex Hutchings: "Right, that's us out of a job then."

Wonderful player.
