cannot post using IE 11

everything worked fine since I joined, then yesterday I found that every reply to a post I send appeared blank, and I could not post any new topic, it said "body is required", and sometimes threw up an empty popup
I wiped all the temp files in IE
Now when I try to reply, it says  "body is required" too

posting this from chrome is fine

any ideas on what I should flush or change?

  • I had this problem at the weekend too. Very long post simply disappeared, which was very frustrating as I'm a rubbish typist. No problems using ancient and outdated computer at work though!

I've just had a third report of IE 11 related issues.

I'm nowhere near a PC at the moment, and wouldn't want to install IE11 anyways!, can either of you to any investigation as to what the issue/s might be, and the fix/es??
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

Mine went west when I upgraded to Win 8.1  Only way I can post is using the "compatibility" setting which is now well hidden inside IE11.  It allows me to post but the whole site looks out of line.  It's workable with, but far from ideal.  Still, serves me right for upgrading to Win 8.1 .... my only excuse is it was free :|

  • I'll have to check in the morning - my dear daughter has wiped my Chromebook and done a complete factory reset on it. That would be the Chromebook that I'd installed Ubuntu on and I was using for all the development for a new customer. No, I hadn't got round to backing it up yet...

I have a long few days ahead of me.
