How big exactly...I have a couple of Denon, they are classed as Bookshelf but might be too big, shall I measure them?

What price range? I've got some inexpensive B&W DM550's or some TDL Nucleus 2's.

  • how smart do they need to be? I have some Mission 731's that are fully working but have scuffs when viewed up close on the cabs and the cloth on grilles are in tact but bobbly so if they are for a main room needing to be pleasing on the eye they might not be for you... but for 2nd room/music room/garage etc... they will be ideal and great sounding..

I should have some packaging but will want the postage covering(might be best to go as 2 separate parcels.

    same as these

I have a pair of Cherry Wood Acoustic Energy AE-1's which need re-foaming (gasket).

As any fule no, they're the greatest small speakers ever made.

    Talk to me if interested.

Gassage is right - the AE1's are hard to beat!

Can't see that refoaming is too big a job?

    It's very do-able.

    And they're the bomb.

Worth mentioning no stands for them.

  • I think those foams are only about £25 a pair, and easily diy-able.

Paul, there are socket screws to undo, and then there's the sealent with the kit- then the job's a good un.

Cheers James, the job sounds a piece of cake, if only being able to afford these fantastic buggers in the first place was as easy...

I happen to have a pair of Atacama stands that would pair rather nicely with the AE1's!
