The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Had one. Neck isn't really my thing- it's a great neck for thin neck people.

Agreed. I have a 58 Les Paul with a fat neck which I love and can't get used to slim neck on the Strat.

It's a great neck if you like skinny ones. The neck on the real one is off David's spare red 1982 Fullerton Strat, (Dan Smith designed and specced) and they were the thinnest necks ever on a strat, just about. But feel gorgerous to some people. I just have hands like dinner plates.
