Guitarist wanted in London

Heya,

Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster are rebuilding ourselves and we need a 2nd guitarist.

We have three albums which can be heard online: www.bridgedisaster.co.uk

Influences range wide and far but a snippet: Tool, ISIS, Cult of Luna, Mastodon, Deftones, Riverside, Porcupine Tree, Oceansize, A Perfect Circle, Karnivool. Essentially we like post-rock, prog, metal, post-metal, sludge, ... heavy styles with elements of light about them too.

We're looking for the following:

- London based

- Own equipment

- Creative and ability to contribute heavily to songwriting

- Capable guitarist who is tight and comfortable with odd time signatures and non-standard grooves

- Not really worried if you're a shred demon. Groove is more the focus, but someone who can solo and tremolo pick would be at the top of the list.

- Willing to learn at least two albums worth of material (not all at once!)

- Someone in it for the long haul, who eventually wants to write new material along with the rest of the band

- Gender and age not important. What counts is skill and commitment. We want someone who is committed to music and takes it seriously, but can have a laugh at the same time

- Own transport would be a significant bonus

We've had some good gigs over the years, and last year played ArcTangent and Damnation Festival. The future of the band looks bright! If this interests you, PM me and we can hash it out!

Your band is great!  Do you play in London much?  Send me a PM when you get back to gigging.  Good luck finding a guitarist though. 

Good to see the word 'Isis' written without the word 'terror' in the same sentence.... They were a seriously awesome band live before they quit....

Thanks dude. Yeah we've done plenty of gigs in London, quite a few outside too. Never managed to get out into Europe though, which I'm hoping to fix in the next year or two!

Well, minimum of a rehearsal a week with all the prep work that entails, we don't learn parts in the practice room, we only jam and practice the songs. Obviously to be available for gigs too.

This isn't a day job and no-one's houses and careers are on the line, we're just having fun! But we take it seriously too. It's not just a fuck about.
