Software Reverb Needed

Hi Guys

Could someone recommend a nice software reverb that doesn't sound metallic.

I am using Logic on the Mac,but the built in reverbs sound very metallic and tinny.

I have a large collection of Waves plugins but I actually really like Logic reverbs...ha ha

Yep I agree these are totally worth the money.

Are you using space designer? There is/was quite a nice Briscati impulse response pack at one point that is worth looking into.

But in all honesty I mostly use valhalla room currently. It sounds great IMO.

Yes, I have the Bricasti impulse pack.

I use SD a bit- but Sean's plugins are just excellent takes on the Lexicon vibe and they suit my production style more.

The guy is a genius programmer.

I'm quite partial to the TC M40. Not sure if you can get it outside of bundles with their other products, though.

Yes i am using Space Designer and i found the Bricasti pack which is excellent.

I will work my way through these for now,there are lot's of them.

Will also check out the Valhalla stuff.

I know Lexicon do a basic pack but i can't find any reviews on it.

The lushest reverb I've found is Aether.  Very nice but a bit pricey.  Loads of presets, very configurable.

I quite like Nomad Factory's Liquid Verb II -- again, easy to use and get nice sounds from.  (And can be picked up pretty cheap at the moment cos you can pick it up as part of a December promo, e.g. in this bundle.  I got a few things there the other day).

I don't find Aether sits well in a mix for me, it is amazing in solo but it kinda disappears in a mix.

I use it more as a special effect.

For drums the Valhalla stuff kills.

Not used Nomad before.

As it happens I'd agree with that, mix and solo.  It's really good as a way of showcasing simple sounds with massive amounts of reverb.  A bit new age in other words!

I'm going to try the Valhalla.

Also check out Eventide Blackhole.

That is my main SFX reverb- I used it all over the Irene Ketikidi album- it doesn't disappear in a mix but sound absolutely brilliant- as lush as Aether.
