Vintage Tremolo Screw Angle

On Fender Trems, are they straight in, perpendicular to the body or angled back?

Do you mean the pivot screws or the arm?

Pivot screws are vertical, arm is angled back.

The arm is angled back so you don't need to remove the arm to put the guitar in the case - you swing it round to the back.

Yes thanks all.  The Pivot screws, I thought they were vertical, but in this Fernandez body they seem to have been put in at an angle.  Anyway I plugged them, marked up centre and position and will make a drilling jig, oif that doesn't work I'II rout out a bigger chunk and put a block in and start again.

Funny. I always thought the USA arms were angled back to give you more whammy leverage, never thought about the case.
