Innovative music or pretentious twaddle?

not sure.

Started off I liked it, then i'm sure they both started to play entirely different pieces in different keys, at which point I decided to turn it off.

I do wonder if this music is only really intended to be enjoyed by the players, and not an audience.

And perhaps sometimes a degree of honesty in the listener is required - as in, mate, that's shite, play something else.

Is it just me that seems to find a lot of "innovative" music very predicable?
