Yes it was! Don't let the quick resale put you off:-) I could easily have kept it over the Slant, but the relay switching with the fx8 swung the balance.

No it wouldn't. Know how good these amps are. I very nearly bought it as well but I would've liked the ceramic Tauren speaker in it. Would have pushed the price up though

Regarding speaker - Martin now recommends the Celestion A-type for this amp (I asked him yesterday). I looked into it and they're on offer for £69 inc delivery here:

Check your inbox, but originally this was a custom Stageman amp that included channel switching (standard version is without). The second owner then had some mods done, including a transformer change and removal of channel switching (who knows why), but without wanting to change the rear panel. This info came from Martin this week.
