Diago Patchfactory anyone?

What's Hot

I'm looking to finally 'properise' my pedal board with quality patch cables. Anyone any experience of Diago Patchfactory Solderless cable systems? Obviously it seems dead easy to use, and the quality seems 'up there'. I know George L's offer a simialr system, but any other manufacturer I should be considering? Ta muchly, Jason.

You should consider a soldering iron, IMO.

By which I mean it'll be more reliable in the long term. Neutrik jacks, any decent name brand patch cable (van Damme, mogami, etc) and it'll all be good

Nah I can solder well enough, just can't be arsed if these 'systems' are any good that's all!

  • If the pedals aren't being moved around very often then it's not much of a problem.

Check out Lava Cables solderless kits too.

Yeah been browsing Lava as we read. Just wondered of the product was as good as the 'site hype'.

Gotta be better than the standard shite I've currently got.

  • The Lava system is terrible. Avoid at any cost.
Planet waves is ok , so is George L if you get the master angled plug but for the cost you might as well ask Rob from Kabl to make some decent soldered cables.

  • I didn't like the George L stuff that much. The Diago system looks a little better but obviously requires a tool (even if it's a coin) to fix them.

I use Bullet Slugs on my board. A bit bigger but very rugged and actually quite slimmer than the G L's sideways (ie for pedals with jacks on the sides sitting next to each other).

Oh. I'll have to have a more in depth scour of the web. Ta for the heads up.
I wanted to put them together myself so i could keep the board nice and tidy re; cut to length, as opposed to pre-made stuff. Hate mess.

  • apparently the Diago system took the best bits of the George L and Lava systems and ditched the bad bits - Ive not heard a bad thing about it tbh, other than Im too tight to pay for it!

  • I was given a Diago lead for free and it didn't take long for it to develop a loose connection. George L, on the other hand, i've been using for a few years with no issues at all.
