12 string spacing

Hi, can anyone tell me what the correct string spacing would be on an electric 12 string?

I would ideally use the stew mac or similar string spacing rule for the regular 6, leaving space for the low E octave , then add the octaves while tapering the widths narrower between pairs towards the bass. I did this nut by starting very high (tall blank), cutting slots and adjusting the width the deeper I went, then bringing the height down to get rid of the initial cuts/notches.

As close as possible without the strings hitting each other when they're vibrating. About 1.5mm-2mm at the nut depending on which string pair it is, and 2mm-2.5mm at the bridge.

Winny_Pooh's one looks perfect to me - in fact as well as just the nut, that's easily the neatest 12-string headstock I've ever seen, it makes the Rickenbacker one look positively oversized.

@sassafras, cheers but cant take credit. Telesavant on tdpri.com came up with the idea of the conversion (sells em on ebay) I just decided to DIY it rather than pay the cost of importing.
