DIAGO PS01 Powerstation: best below £60?

ddloopingddlooping Frets: 325
Hi all :)

I need to buy a power supply for my newly acquired Joyo pedals + Digitech JamMan Express XT (and maybe a Zoom G2.1n).
Is the DIAGO PS01 Powerstation the best I can get for that kind of money (<£60) or are there other ones that could do as good a job for less?

TIA ;)

  • For what it's worth, I have a Diago Micropower9 (~£25) which happily does up to 1A. Maybe a couple of those?

I'd be a bit nervy about running that much gear off a single non-isolated supply, since debugging any interference issues could be pretty difficult (not to mention expensive).

  • Thanks for the info, Lee. :)
Regarding interference issues I'm willing to take the risk. :D

I use a One Spot as a backup to my Diago Powerstation.

I do prefer the format of the Diago as you havethe figure of 8 lead going across the stage where as it's a thinner lead on the One Spot as that's a wallwart style unit.

Performance wise (in my experience) they're comparable. Both happily power my board without any noticable differenc ein noise.

The One Spot Combo pack with the daisy chain included is the one to go for.

  • Thanks, again, not_the_dj. :)

I do prefer it too, so a new (longer/shorter) lead can be used if and when necessary.
I don't know whether it's worth paying twice as much though, as I can always use an extension lead. :-S

Any suggestions for patch leads, good quality without being overpriced? :)

  • Ok, I got the One Spot combo and a few Squier patch cables. :)

    Thanks again, guys. ;)

Now if only I could trade my Zoom A2.1U or G2.1Nu for either an MS-50G or MS-70CDR. :D

@ddlooping just a quick note. My phaser and delay hate each other if they both run off the Diago Powerstation and give some horrid noises.

  • @lew which phaser and delay do you use?

I've had issues with my EHX Freeze, but apart from that all good.

  • Thanks for the heads-up, Lew, I hope I won't have that problem with my pedals and the One Spot. :)
