It's funny, being in London you get to see a much greater ethnic diversity than at home, and I've noticed there seems to be a hierarchy on ethnic lines within the service profession.  Namely, almost all the security staff are afro-Caribbean or East European, the cleaners mostly far and middle-eastern/Arabic (and usually female too), and catering staff are East European or from the Indian subcontinent.

Strangely absent from the overwhelming majority of these posts however are the Caucasian native British.  What's that all about?
