Anybody had experience using one of these with a Floyd style trem?

Are they any good?

Thinking of adding one to my PRS SE Floyd.

I know they're designed primarily for vintage style units - but when has that kind of thing ever stopped us right?

No experience as such but that is a s**t ton cheaper than a tremel-no...

Also means you can stick a D-Tuna on the Floyd as well !

  • It is indeed,

But a tremel-no stops a trem from working does it not? This just stops things going quite so pair shaped if you break a string etc.

Err oh yeah, I'd always (mistakenly) thought that Tremol-nos were a three stage thing floating, dive only, hardtail...

Actually, just had a look at the website and it would appear that the new 'Deep-C' model can do dive only !

  • I have used one and indeed sold it to @Cabicular within a Washburn N4 with Floyd Rose. IIRC it introduces a slight centre notch position, feel-wise, so it doesn't feel completely floating. It does make it much better for double-stop bends, although you should not expect miracles if you break a string.
