Cheers for the links. If it's vintage sunburst as the description states I'm out.

    Weller's is royal tan...

The mastodon geezers Flying V looks quite cool. Possibly cos it's hard to make the headstock look wrong with a V.

Hmm, think I'd spend the extra £200 on a Gibson FB V and not prop JB's pension plan up

Having thought about it I think I'd rather get Grahame to build me a Firebird 1 and let Rich the paint loose on it at that price point

I very nearly said the same thing - imagine one in proper old crackling gold, crazing like a, well, a welsh painter.

It needn't cost so very much either...*

Interesting to see some actual banjo tuners on the epi, I assumed they wouldn't bother.

The CS Gibson reissue I played had a fucking massive neck, one of the biggest I've ever played.

What happened to the Paul Weller sig? It was on Thomann then it disappeared...

I tweeted them about that and they responded with that it will be available later in the year... Still not mentioned anywhere else on the Internet though (as far as I could see)

No idea.  The same with the Johnny A sig model as well.  It was on the website for a bit then it went away.

I'm also disappointed that this isn't happening anytime soon.

It fascinates me that Thomann are the only place to know about it. Makes me think they may actually be influencing or involved with Epi's product development people. Wouldn't think a Weller sig would sell that well in the US, so it's possibly a European-only model with Thomann getting some kind of preferential (or exclusive?) distribution deal.

What's annoying is that, although I like the bloke, it's not the Weller factor but the idea of a Casino with USA P90s, decent pots/wiring and a nice, faded Royal Tan burst that appeals massively to me.

Although not cheap at (IIRC) £700-ish, I'd still be tempted. I missed out on the great '65 reissues a few years ago (they seem to sell for a lot more than their new price) and the Elitists are ...gulp... £1650 to £1899 now. The ES330 has similarly skyrocketed (I've never seen one of them in an Amazon blowout). The Gary Clark sig is the only current-ish model with comparable spec and, unfortunately, the blueburst finish makes me physically sick.
