New track, chilled out electronic cover

Hi guys,

Just wanted to run this by you all; it's a cover track that I've been working on for a while, I got a singer in to do the parts that I can't :)

Let me know what you think!

    Ok dude,

So its pretty cool, but I think the vocals are lacking something to make them sparkle, for me it would be some EQ work and some reverb experiments, also whilst the vocal is good, its not quite on the money compared to the programmed backing track, so again I would just tweak it with Melodyne or Waves tune.

All just my opinion of course, and this may be just the mix you want.

I did have a go at a basic acoustic Sheeran track myself....( and Im not singing ! )

Neither Ed or this style of music is really my forte but for what it's worth you've done a great job. I do agree though that the vocal needs tweaked a bit, seems quite dry (Not that I'm an expert, far from it) but she's got a great voice too.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I think the vocals need to be tweaked alright, they were recorded on a different occassion to the track so mixing them in was fairly hasty! I really should pick up melodyne or some waves plugins though, they seem like the bomb.

Also i'm not a massive fan of Ed Sheeran, but I saw Kwabs cover this song and thought it would be fun to give it a go! Sparky that is an excellent cover! Thanks for posting :)

Waves have discounts quite a lot, just register and you should get emails.I use Melodyne and its really useful, I use it on vocals and Bass,;-)
