English bands singing in American accents

Oh and Laura marling on her latest album is a difficult listen. The style of music doesn't need a fake American accent, and it comes across a bit cynical.

Traditional guitar solos are just about the least interesting thing you can do on a guitar.

i think it's almost automatic to sing with an "american" or "mid-atlantic" accent when singing rock.
