Telecaster Control Cavity Placement?

Does anyone know about differing placements for telecaster control cavities? Ive got a Fender licensed Mighty Mite body and it seems the cavity isn't in the usual place as it doesnt quite line up with the cutout on the scratchplate I had. Are there varying placements I don't know about?

What's the source of the scratchplate? It could be that that's not lining up.

TBH I can't recall, it was one I'd had hanging around for ages. I suppose the obvious answer is to check the body measurements against Fender specs, they must be out there somewhere

Control plate cavities was one of the issues I used to find when I stocked Mighty Mite bodies - it was the second thing I checked after the standard once over for blemishes. I often had to sell some bodies as b-stock due to this. Most of the time a little careful finagling could get a Fender spec scratchplate and control plate to line up without it looking too far out of alignment.

To be fair, the last batch I had before dropping them (due to massive price increase) was spot on - they had changed the spec at the factory to be more Fender accurate, including for some reason adding the router hump at the cutaway. For some reason they didn't see fit to change the ferrule spec (I still have 300+ sets of ferrules custom made for Mighty Mite bodies!).

By the way - no bodies are Fender licensed. "Fender licensed" only applies to the shape of the headstocks on necks (although there is a quality control clause in the licensing agreement).
