Can anyone direct me to a good site to buy timber for a build?

But you'll need to phone to order. David Dyke is the only place I'd trust not to ship the rotted bit of bark in the corner rather than the nice bit of timber in the photo.

I mostly use David Dyke as well. Over the years he's sent me great stuff sight unseen.

I've only bought from them (D Dyke) once but they were extremely friendly and helpful on the phone when I was after wood for making bracing and bridge plate for my 12-string top.  Not too expensive either from what I remember.

    Absolutely.

You can buy perfectly good guitar-making timber for less, but it's a lot of effort.

I've only been to Mr Dyke's place of business once but it was ace. He was very straightforward and friendly and the timbers he picked out were spot-on what I needed (one wasn't what I thought I'd needed but he was right about it and not in a pushy way).
