What do you mean? You want to know whether you can remove the pickguard completely?
If so, than the answer is not really, the top is routed under the pickguard to accommodate the pots and switches.
Any advantage to having the switching options without the amp?
I think you are asking a bit much of people to check them out though.
Low production numbers and none/few available for sale will be the deciding factor. I've never seen one in passing - but equally never searched for one.

I've however moved the Tonexpressor (Varitone) circuit to a pedal.
Edit, your Yucca it stressed, try giving it less water or not allowing it to dry out too quickly.
