anyone got experience with LEDs?

I want to get some LEDs for a neck project. I figure that it's a good idea to buy the best that are available, wouldn't want to be trying to dig one of those suckers out cos it had failed!

Any idea what a good brand would be?

In the guitars I have seen with LED fret marking they haven't put the LED's in the neck, rather the LED's are located elsewhere and then they use fibre optic cable to take the light from the LED's to the fret marking. That way your never get a dead LED in the neck

That is a very good idea! Having said that, it won't work with what I have planned on this occasion.
