Stress free car travel to Sheffield Arena?

My 14 year old daughter has told me that we're going to see Bring Me the Horizon at the Sheffield Arena in November, and given that it's on a Sunday I don't want to be over-reliant on public transport.

Is it better to park on-site at the Arena or to use one of the park and rides? I like the idea of parking on-site, but wonder whether it'll take ages to get out after the gig - leaving early to miss the rush is not on the cards!

We'll be driving down from Leeds/Bradford if that makes any difference. Cheers!

I'd park in one of the city car parks, but not one right by the arena as you'll inevitably be queuing to get out afterwards.

If it were me, I'd find one that's 10-15 minutes walk.

Find the post code for Nunnery Square Park and Ride, 30 second walk to tram stop from there and then a 5 minute tram ride to Arena.

    Aye, that's a better plan.

Don't park in the centretainment! It's only a short walk away from the arena but once the gig is finished you'll find it's where everybody that doesn't have a clue about driving parks and it becomes absolutely grid locked! I made the mistake of going to the cinema when paramore played, I was stuck in the car park over an hour!

Do what the chaps above said park at Meadowhall and tram it round, there'll still be traffic but not as bad.

I've been there twice, used the on-site carparks with no hassles.

I wasn't the driver either time, and it was about 8 years ago......

There's a specific car park for the trams and trains though, which is sign posted. It didn't get full when I went to see Slipknot so wouldn't expect it to this time, but I'd go early anyway and maybe have a look around the shops.
