Linux peeps - what distro for touchscreen kiosk ?

I've acquired a little touchscreen kiosk thing that I'm planning to stick on my kitchen wall so I can use it as a jukebox and web browser to display recipes whilst I'm cooking etc.

It's pretty old - it's a 1.5GHz Celeron M with 2GB RAM.

Any Linux folks know what distro might work with the touchscreen ?  Ta.

Without knowing what the exact hardware is, it's pretty hard to say. However, my first experience with Ubuntu on a touchscreen - on the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro I got from the Sporkster - has been extremely positive. It's got 10-point multitouch, and it works perfectly.

It does very much depend on the desktop environment and apps you're using. GNOME is good for touchscreen, although I have a sneaky feeling that Unity wins on that score. Chrome/Chromium work exactly as you'd expect with touch gestures from all Android phones doing precisely what you'd think they would.

I popped back here just after discovering Androidx86 - which I'm currently downloading.  I'll give that a shot next then try Ubuntu - but the specs for that reckon a dual-core cpu is required.
