The Fretboard is a lot like the EU

The Fretboard:

Born following a long battle with Future Publishing, it's aim to unite the people affected after the 'war', for the common good.

People are free to come and go on The Fretboard. People wishing to become new members have to adhere to strict policies and can be vetoed out.

It has an internal single market which promotes the trading and the movement of goods with no tariffs (PPG).

The leaders can't be voted out. They enact legislation in justice and home affairs and ask for money to keep the club going.

You in or out?

One day, we woke up, and Future Publishing were playing dead.  We waited a day or three for them to stop playing dead, but they didn't.  So we just took over.

Mainly because no-one else would be daft enough to take over.

A slight dissimilarity between theFB and theEU is the level of remuneration available to the respective "leaders".  As in the difference between "how much would you like?" and "sweet FA".

There is one more teensy-weensy point: the unelected leaders here do a cracking job for bugger-all pay. Oh, and they make sensible laws.

I'd vote in, but i'm not happy with the influx of members who have guitars different colours to mine.

They also take a lot of knowledge and send it back their families without contributing.

And one time, someone got scammed, so they must all be scammers secretly.
