    Nah - is bollocks - those 'Coffin Badge' Marshalls only went up to 1968 and in that era there would never have been massive over production/stock piling and he is saying 60s/70s era amp... AND the badge was only offset on the earlier 'side panel' amps...

    Wow, that's a rare and valuable amp indeed.
    Estimates have it at around 500 coffin logo amps? (the nick name came from a funeral hardware shop in Brum that supplied them with the marshall name on!).
    The close set input jacks would put it as a mk1, 63? although I've only seen them with the two tone sandwich fronts? the all black as yours came a bit later and had the larger plastic panel logos in red then black capitals?

    Take care of that piece of rock history, oh and watch out for low-ball dealers ;-)
