Very sad. A real talent and she came across as such a lovely person in interviews. I grew up with my dad watching the Royle Family on VHS - never got all of the jokes at the time, but it holds a special place for us.

I don't usually swear, but for fuck sake I am completely fed up with the amount of great people that have died this year.

Royle Family is one of my favourite programs, still watch them.

So sad that another gem has succumbed to that vile horrible disease.

Just read about this in the Guardian... Both her and her brother were born with retinal cancer, she developed bladder cancer as an adult, recovered, but her boyfriend later died of the exact same variety. Some people seem to be up against the odds from the minute they're born. Very sad.
