Boss DS1 Output volume mod?

Hi all

This was just an idea that appeared in my head, but hear me out,

The DS1 with the volume fully cranked tends to sound better than with the volume set at a reasonable level (to me, anyway),

Wondered if anyone had tried installing a second Level control at the end of the circuit, though by the looks of the schematic the Level seems to be at the end of the chain anyway.

Any thoughts/ideas?

thanks!

There's an output buffer after the level control, but my suspicion here is that it sounds better because it's louder.

Crank the volume of the DS-1... then turn your amp volume down.

The level control is the final component (apart from a single 10K resistor) before the switching, so you can't add one any later in the circuit without affecting the volume of the bypass signal as well.
