New forum software - is this intentional?

I noticed the forum went down for a while about 30mins ago, and now it's back up with updated software.

During the test a couple weeks ago, I noticed the picture upload functionality was mistakenly enabled, now it appears to be enabled again. I hope this is intentional but I have a feeling it's not...

Thanks - I was still updating permissions. For some stupid reason, the default setting is to allow all users to upload anything they like. Madness.

The formatting of comments has changed. It seems to be impossible to quote then comment on that quote without your comment being "inside" the quote itself.

Not impossible but I had to click on the </> button to do this on an iPad

Thanks!  That did the trick (on a PC, not an iPad).  Something to get used to, I guess.

Other problems I found so far:

• Drafts are not automatically saved (only when you click the button)
• When you give lol/wow/wiz, you cannot click again to undo, unless you reload the page first.

These are found on my iPad (Safari) with latest updates.

Hmmm, my PC laptop isn't formatting paragraphs properly. Actually, none of the formatting options are on the comments box.

All the text formatting options seem to have disappeared? iPad & PC (Chrome). [edit] including the option to use paragraphs, including access to the previous workaround to that problem.

Here's a reply to a quote.

So, if you add a quote, the text box formatting options appear - including paragraphs.  If entering a new comment, there are no text box formatting options.

But there are no text colour / highlight options.

When replying to a quote, the text cursor is initially located within the quoted text.  So, you need to switch to source view </>, then add <br>, then switch back to normal text view </> to enter the text.

That's all a bit messy ...

@TTony - I had similar issues (win10 and Firefox 47.0.1) until I did a hard refresh (CTRL+F5) and now everything works nicely. Mr DS suggested that some browsers are caching old code.

We should highlight that somewhere VERY obvious - it's worked for me.

The only one that really matters is the editor - if we included all the other changes, we'd be here all day writing it (since we updated to a new version of Vanilla).

Seriously, guys...just refresh the page a couple of times. That's all it takes to get the new code.

Alternatively, wait until tomorrow and the old code will have expired from your browser.
