Spent a few days living in Number 10

Not the little flat in Downing Street but #10 The Mews at Castle Leslie Estate in Co. Monaghan.  We had a family outing to Castle Leslie and it proved a great base for a bit of sight seeing in that lovely part of Ireland.  A mere 9 iron distance from the Border, the area was new to me and mercifully free of the bus loads of tourists that you see in Kerry, Clare or Galway.  Saw several decommissioned Border check points [soon to be reinstated????] as we drove around.  The actual Border is a stream or a line through a field, often hard to tell which country you are in.  But you know you are in Ireland as the pubs pull and serve Guinness the 'right' way.  The Monaghan accent is sharp, very like the East Belfast accent, but I got used to it very quickly.

#10 was very nice and comfortable.  I wonder what life in the other #10 is like.  A good deal noisier at a guess....
