OCD question

What's Hot
The girlfriend is just as mad about guitars as I am which is great. So in the interests of making the house friendlier we've hung four guitars on the wall going up the stairs. Problem is as they all have 5 way selectors (Ibanez RS540ltd Musicman Silhouette and Two Custom Strats ) what position should the selector switches be in?

Which ever position they are in they will snag you at some point.

  • You need to add one more guitar and then have them ascending as you climb the stairs, obv!

From the types of guitars you have I'm presuming they all have humbuckers, in which case it's the bridge position.

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

Have them all on bridge or neck  and each time you go up or down the stairs switch pickups.

Now that would be an OCD!

They should all be parked in the centre position. This gives a subliminal message of center parcs. You may also wish to hang a guitar on your back door to reinforce the message.

This tip brought to you by MumsNet.

Gibson toggles should always be left in the middle position to prolong the life of the switch.
blades don't matter as much, so obviously go with the bridge position

Strats and Strat-a-likes should always be parked with the selector in the bridge position - same as Teles. Les Pauls should always be parked in the middle position.

Don't they teach this in schools?
