Anyway...back to topic
I have a feeling we will be looking at each other with the usual look of anti-climax and "This is a bit shit" that usually occurs when the local 'Brethren' kick off in the street 70ft below us and we all get to watch the silly twats dance around shouting at each other about how hard they apparently are.
I though clean knickers was only if you're going to get hit by a bus?
Honestly, i wasn't listening to her after the age of 6 but it was something like that.
I have a feeling that this all might actually happen though because for the very first time since 1987 i can actually play the intro to Sweet Child O' Mine.
It's my Fault !
my my kids looked embarrassed. Sounds crap on an acoustic.....
So we're back to waiting for this one!
I found the key to playing it after all these years is to keep your fingers all moving and avoid trying to form any barre or chord shape. By treating every note as a separate entity and fingering each one, one by one instead of seeing it as a 'Run' i found i was way more accurate and managed to get the swing of the piece much easier. I also realised it's far more about fingertips than i ever realised before.
If we survive the night, give that a go.
I've also found since i got the Jackson that a wide neck helps me immensely to play this and that sense of freedom for my fingers is, i think how i've managed to relax and get into the swing of it, so to speak.
