I picked this up locally on EBay last week for a low price; I fancied doing an EVH/Delonge style Strat with a single HB and volume control.

The guitar itself is a 2000 Squier Bullet hard tail  Strat - plywood body but in great overall condition and well kept. I ordered a single HB scratch plate from EBay (required a little shaping around the bridge) along with a mini 500k volume pot and a Vanson high output bucker in White.

Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out but I think I'll swap the bucker for an overwound PAFalike or similar, as the Vanson isn't very subtle. Also, I need to drill out the scratchplate pickup screw holes a little more, as currently, they screw through the plate rather than passing through, so pickup height adjustment isn't as easy as it should be (if you try to lower the pup, the screws come out of the plate). Otherwise, it plays superbly and is a lovely plug in and play jam night rocker...
