Coil Tap with a Fender S1 Switch?

What's Hot
So I've pulled the N3's from my Fender Deluxe Telecaster and I'll be wiring in an Iron Gear Steel Twin 2 neck and Seymour Duncan Lil' 59 Bridge.

Now as I have the S1 already installed, is it possible to utilise this to add a coil split for both pickups? I don't need anything fancy, just a simple split for both at the same time with the switch pressed down would be great.

I just don't have much experience with how the S1 pot works.

Cheers!

Yes. Use terminals A and B on two of the poles to connect the coil spilt wires to either hot (of the same pickup) or ground depending on which coil you want to stay on.

Given that it's actually a four-pole switch you could use it for series/parallel switching for both pickups if you want, which would retain the hum cancelling.

  • Cheers for the advice, appreciate it! I'll have a bash when the second pickup arrives and see if I can get it to work.
