They've just opened one in Abu Dhabi. I shall visit and report back!

I do like Shake Shack a lot, though that's even more money.
Shouldn't that be Sheikh Shack ?

We like burgers once a week and also like to eat out but there's not many that compare to what we make at home. Add potatoe wedges, oven chips, curly fries or a nice salad.

    Aberdeen Angus 6oz fat burgers x 6 £7.80
Salt and pepper for seasoning the burgers.
    Brioche buns x 6 £1.20
    Gem Lettuce £1.00
    Organic beef tomatoes x 2 £1.80
Jar of pickled sweet gherkins thinly sliced £1.95
    Mayonaise (Heinz) £1.50
    Ketchup (Heinz) £1.50
    Dijon Mustard £1.50
Fat wedges of your favourite cheddar cheese £3.00

** optional high end streaky bacon if you dig on swine £2.50

£3.95 per burger with plenty of condiments left over for next time or £2.50 a man if you have all the condiments on hand.

Super enjoyable when you have made em yourself.

My favourite outlet burgers in the £9-10 bracket right now would be "The Dead Hippy" from Meat Liquor or "The Classic Burger from Burger Shack both available in the big smoke.

I've eaten a lot of different and expensive burgers, but my favourites are honestly sainsburys taste the difference range. Just the plain meat ones.

I just did myself a fairly nice one at home.

i really like Morrisons brisket burgers.  Normally their burgers are fairly average but the brisket ones are great.

i also made a little relish... Cherry toms, gerkin, spring onion, balsamic and  chilli sauce.

Once the burgers are mostly cooked I slice them into 2 thin burgers so I can get some good layers going.

    so, all the layers:
    toasted brioche bun
    tomato and gerkin relish
    burger
    streaky bacon
    edam
    burger
    streaky bacon
    edam
    onion rings
    burger sauce
    toasted brioche bun

i have never cooked or eaten a better burger anywhere!

Going on a burger thread and being surprised by a picture of meat is like going on mumsnet and being surprised when they talk about their vaginas.

'Tis pricey and rather ugly, but Five Guys is easily my favourite burger. Get the small burger - one patty rather than two offers a more sensible meat to bun ratio and means you can eat it without dislocating your jaw.

Went to 5guys when they opened in Blue Water awhile back ain't been back not worth the fat or low quality carbs or the endless supply of sugar water :-)

And I am not a healthy eater. I am never sure how we take stuff that works in the US and do it badly over here.
