Can't log on from laptop ?

I've just had a new system installed on my laptop and can't log on to the Fretboard.I,m still logged on via my tablet,will this be stopping  the laptop logon ?
Don't want to log off the tablet first !

Being logged in on one device doesn't stop you logging in on another.

when you say that you "can't login" - describe what happens.  You enter your details on the login screen, and then what??

I,ve changed my password via the tablet to see if that made a difference but it hasn't.

OK, now that's gone through, try logging in with your original account on the laptop.

If that doesn't work, try clearing all your cookies and cache files, that might help.

You should know, though, that registering multiple IDs is generally a banning offence. We'll let it go while you're trying to fix this, but one of the accounts will have to go once that's done.

Will keep trying things,may logout on the tablet and see if I can get back on.The laptop has just had a complete clean install of windows 7 so shouldn't have many cookies on it yet surely?

Logged out and back in on the tablet.Cant log on as either ID
 now on the laptop !

yay! Sorted ,refreshed browser and came up with box for compatibility function.Pressed that and have logged on successfully!

Assuming that it is Internet Explorer, follow this;

And let us know which version of IE you're running.  If you've just had a complete wipe & re-install with an original box-fresh version of Win7, it's possible that you'll be running an obsolete version of IE which may cause you problems with various websites.

I would strongly recommend that you get an updated version and quickly.

That version is no longer supported and won't get any security fixes.  I'm assuming that you're using the "boxfresh" version too, so it'll be unpatched for all the bugs & security issues identified since it was launched in 2009.  That's a dangerous level of exposure.

Everyone has their own preference for browser, but Chrome is a reliable option, free, and much more secure than IE8.
