  • have you got any pictures you have taken of the guitar?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Hello, the above picture is the guitar right before it was shipped to me. Obviously the paint job now has faded into a seafoam green, almost duck egg type color. It's really great. Other than that it has a few nicks here and there and the nitro has faded also on the back of the neck, very cool.

Rest assured I will post current pictures ASAP!

  • Lovely looking guitar, but how does sonic blue fade to seafoam green?! Also, you say it has bareknuckles, but the spec sheet says Lollars...

  • Sorry guys, indeed it has Lollars... my memory is pretty horrible, apologies! ;) Guitar polo : that's a very good question, lol!

If you look at the second picture from the bottom, you can see a bit of the sonic blue on the back of the guitar. It has faded in most places but you can still see some blue near the edges..

  • Is this the guitar featured in the gallery on the website?

The sonic blue certainly seems to have changed colour somewhat...is it my eyes or is this guitar green?

I dont smoke... anything lol! But yes the paint has changed quite a bit, pretty striking really especially when I look back at early pictures.

Yes this is the one in the gallery on probett's website. The most accurate colour I'd say would be "duck egg", like a mix between pale blue and green. More green now though.

    Thanks for the reply.

I certainly wasn't trying to be in the least bit negative about your guitar; my apologies if that's how I came across.

I wish you well with the sale.
