WTB 'original' low gain overdrive

I'm interested in an original circuit low gain overdrive for my board. I've got a MIAB for medium/high gain stuff and i'd like to have something that isn't a clone or emulation of an amp.

would like it to be fairly flat eq wise or with options to shape eq, and for the gain to be of a smooth nature. 

i'm looking at Magnetic Effects Satellite so would be interested in that, but open to suggestions. Whatcha got?

I don't have one for sale, but I borrowed my mate's Satelite and it was brilliant. I've had a couple of ODR1s and this was better. I've never played such a transparent OD.

The Satellite is a great choice - I love mine. A Timmy would also probably suit, although I prefer the Satellite.

@simonk on some demos it sounds a fizzy at the top end. Demos of the Timmy seem like that too. Is that your experience?

The Timmy can be fizzy or very smooth depending on how you set the eq.  It's a very versatile pedal which stacks very well with most other drive pedals.

The EQ on it is very usable, and works in the same manner as a Timmy. I wouldn't describe it as fizzy though, it's quite full and rich. It cleans up famously with the guitars volume and stacks very nicely - it loves a tubescreamer in front of it.

You might try a Tone Freak Naked OD – though I do not have one to offer. I have owned one a few years ago and it was definitely not harsh nor tone altering, eq-wise.

Hudson Broadcast sounds ace but might be a bit big for my board. Having said that, theres a Pork Loin on here which I might try out; looks to be a unique approach in some respects.
