Refinishing?

Took my new PRS to practice last night.

It sounds great and works really well in a band mix despite my fear that a hog guitar wouldn't cut un a funk context. 

Showed it to our sax player who said "It's nice, but it's NOT GOLD!"

This is a very good point not only because our bands theme is gold and I normally play a gold strat, but also because it would undoubtedly look awesome as a goldtop. 

I'm not sure I'll actually do it but I was wondering how much it would likely cost to make it a goldtop and who could actually do it?

I'd ideally just want the top gold and leave the rest as natural mohog, not sure if that's feasible.

It currently has a very thin satin nitro finish if that makes any difference.

That will look approximate 21 times better as a goldtop.  

Not that I'm partial to goldtops or anything...

I'm looking at doing a golf leaf finish on a V when I get one - it would look fantastic on your PRS - you should go for it.
Mark Jooky - care to suggest a supplier for leaf when I'm ready to start?

I'll be doing some gold leafing in the next week or so - if you want the top done, I could just leaf/wax over it so it'd come off later if you wanted
