Hey guys...I made a prototype guitar last year which was very badly thought through. Quite rightly I received harsh but very fair criticism and advice. I took that advice on board and spent the last year reworking, rethinking and remodeling. The guitars are aimed at a blues/rock/hard rock crowd but hopefully appeal slightly wider to the fusion and progressive guitarists. These guitars are finished in a natural lacquer to show off the wood and one-piece bodies - natural isn't to everyone's taste but serves a purpose here. A variety of finishes will be available. There is a trem option and a choice of alnico or ceramic pickups which I have designed from the ground up. The body shape is far from radical but research showed marked conservatism in guitar buyer preference and this is reflected...again, this cannot be perfect for everyone and will be divisive...anyway there photos and demos here - https://www.facebook.com/IanElsonGuitar/     Let me know what you think....(he said nervously)

I missed the original thread, but these look quite nice. Not quite the same as anything else, but somehow familiar, which is good territory in many respects.

I'm not a BookFacer, so can't see much about them.

Post some decent pics here - you'll get more comment.

I quite like the PRS shape but don't care for the birds and the stripey tops so this stripped down, bolt on approach works well for me.
If you want a beta tester just let me know... =)

    Look pretty good to me!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

  • As said, it looks like a PRS,  but it's really nice. Should sound good too.

I think the design is ok, but pricing might be your challenge:

There's a lot of options new and used when you're spending that kind of money

  • I agree...the whole aim is to guarantee a small production run...pricing will have to be set according to that, not to one-off builds
