It's a thinline telecaster, what more do you need!

I think it looks really nice with the rosewood neck and headstock along with the dark sunburst. It wouldn't look right in a lighter colour.

I hate the relic job though. If you don't then it's all good.

I'd put steel saddles on it instead of those brass horrors too, but that's probably just me...

The dark headstock face doesn't look right to me, aesthetically. Rosewood board on a maple neck and I would love that.
There you have it! It draws you in but something is not quite right.

This is on the other hand is what I really want ... Enjoy this vid it's a goodun.

I'm with this.  It's the dark headstock that isn't right.

Thinnys some in 3 basic but wildly diiferent flavours:

    1. The original SC version (Mk 1)
    2. The 1972 Wide Range Humbucker (Mk2)
    3. Ressies of the same

There's a massive difference between Mk 1 and Mk 2

A Mk 1 SC version, honks like a normal tele with a little more top
The MK 2 is the king- the WR HB's are genius. It's a swiss army knife with so much power and options it's untrue.

THe others are meh. The Mk 2 reissues have a normal humbucker with a fancy cover; basically, in 1972 Seth Lover designed them and granted Fender a 10 yr licence. When Bill Schiltz and Dan Smith bouught F in 1982, they ran out of money and never re bought the licence.

If you can find one, the 72 onwards is one of the most brilliant guitars ever.

    Go vintage

With the dark sunburst I actually think the rosewood headstock looks better.

I also realised the pickguard is wrong though, it should be pearl not white.

    :)

As an aside, Ive used the services of Jamie with a couple of guitars... He really is a lovely guy, and some of hid creations are fantastic.
Indeed, in fact...I'm going there today to collect my fret dressed Taylor and tweaked PRS.
