It was actually for the Neil And The Shocking Pinks 'Everybody's Rockin' album - which he did on purpose to piss David Geffen off. Geffen told him he wanted a "rock 'n' roll record" after Trans, so Young decided to pedantically misinterpret him and make a rock 'n' roll record .
