It should be a criminal offence...

...to relic your guitar, if your idea of 'relic'ing' is taking a belt sander to the obvious contact points.

I love a good relic, done properly, but as I browse classifieds a lot, I see oodles of guitars that have been sanded in a way that leaves a wholly unnatural looking finish, pristine paint all over, and then uniform areas of sanding, often then coupled with immaculate shiny hardware.

There is no limit to some people's stupidity and complete lack of good taste.  Personally, I think it should be a capital offence.  It's only fair...they've murdered the guitar, so they must pay the ultimate price! :p
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

I am just about happy with my relics now, still some techniques to develop but it's getting there.

but my first attempt was very much like the worst of those belt sander relics. Never saw the light of day though, but it did put me off trying any for a long time!

What about an acoustic guitar that looks like it was in the way whilst Ghostbusters was shooting?

I'm happy with the way mine have turned out overall. For me, the secret is not to remove the current finish in places, but remove the whole lot and then put something back which doesn't include the worn bits, and work from there.

I don't want to sound mean, but you really need to practice this whole bridge-attaching lark. That's a little bit shonky.

It's completely counter intuitive to me.
I was bought up to treat property with respect and care so it makes me feel a bit sick to see any sort of intentional vandalism.
You're not fooling anyone with your shitty belt sander specials.

    Russian.

I didn't want to brand my early builds but I still wanted to have them in some way identifiable.
I came up with an idea of using repurposed propaganda posters.

This is the original for that guitar- it is a Russian War Bonds poster.

I've also used this a couple of times- it is North Korean propaganda poster.
I love this picture- so much that I had it blown up and framed in the house.
    Amazing piece of art.

I'm going to do another dozen or so 'Propaganda' builds before I'll be comfortable building under the Evenlode name.

I think you should change Evenlode to Screws N Glue, and make the bridges live up to the name.

It can sometimes be difficult to differentiate your product in the market, but you've got an easy way out.
