A huge thankyou to @mgaw for both a. alerting me to this one and b. his bombproof packaging and postage.












Despite being in need of general TLC, the action (as it arrived) is ridiculously low/playable - it feels great, even with only 4 skanky strings.

I've wanted one of these in red since I was a kid - I can distinctly remember being in awe of a local guitarist who had one - all those switches and knobs!

It was created for a Saudi Prince and features abalone inlays and real metal tracery - not sticky back plastic or Fablon as it would've been known in the era!

OMG - I really wanted one of those when I was looking for my first Electric guitar around 1970 but couldn't afford one!  I saw on the 'Guitar Stories' film that Mark Knopfler's first guitar was a Hofner - a Super Solid V2.
