What's Hot

hi guys, I'm looking to go guitar shopping tomorrow but am having trouble deciding where.
I'm after a shop that has a decent selection of used guitars along the line of Gibson, Non electromatic Gretsch, higher up fenders and Rickenbacker as I'm not quite sure what I'm after but want something else alongside my Gibson Les Paul Traditional.

  • Roadhouse music in Boston is good for Fender.
PMT in Cambridge is closer than horncastle too, and is really good shopping in general in Cambridge.

  • Don't go to Northampton, it sucks ass
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • Music St in Huntingdon is probably the best bet. Either that or any of the places in Leicester.

Honestly, there's bugger-all around here. You could try The Guitar Lounge in Peterborough, but that might not be the kind of stuff you're after.

The one thing from the OPs post that stuck out was 'used' - not sure there's anywhere I would recommend for having a really good broad selection of used gear

Cheers digitalscream, I've found a couple things of interest at music street so I'll be heading there tomorrow.
I popped into guitar lounge on Thursday but nothing that appealed however I did try the guitarist featured vanquish gold top which was lovely!

Amen. Its where badly set up guitars go to die. Slowly.

Oversupply of those old offset Jag/JM bridges there too, so I'm told.

Unfortunately not, I stumbled across it in Pmt in Cambridge after playing loads of guitars between music street, PMT and a pawnbrokers around the corner that has lots of vintage guitar stuff but this guitar is exceptionally superb in sound and feel....also has that neck resonance like your tele has James
