Suggest something for my new guitar pickup

Thanks to the generosity of Declan on this site, I will soon be in possession of one of his newly named humbucker pickups, 'The Hound'.  As I wrote in that thread, I am looking for a suitable guitar to take The Hound.

Ideally it would be a single pickup guitar, not one of the usual suspects [Tele,Strat, LP] shape wise and not neck heavy.  A Junior or Explorer would be interesting as would a PRS SE.  I am open to suggestions and not too set on any particular guitar.  If you have something suitable, please let me know.  A Hofner Shorty could be 'adapted' to sit better on my lap.  This would be an interesting challenge.

So what have you or what do you suggest I get?
