PSA Cheap Fender

GuitarGuitar seem to have the Fender Sergio Vallin Sig for cheap, this is a proper Mexican Fender for 399, considering it was orignally 800 is pretty good.

Between that and the control plate, just looks like a bizarre mash up.

I don't really understand why Fender made this chap a signature model with so many unique features, but I quite like the look.  Great price, but had I been contemplating a purchase the modern C neck would scupper it.

It's discounted because of discontinuation. I'm quite sure it only came out earlier this year. 

Edit: It was Jan 2015, not the most long lived model.

I'm surprised they didn't do it as part of the regional artist thing that they do with the Squier range, that's how the Simon Neil Strat came about and stuff like the Sham Kamikaze Strat which is cool

I think it would look good without the Trem Plate and the weird Control Plate. I like the shape, sort of like an offset strat. Also, it should have come in Lake Placid Blue with a Parchment Scratch Plate.
